Indigenous Curating

Master class | 23 October 2015

Together with the Faculty of Archaeology of Leiden University the RCMC is organizing a Master Class on Indigenous Curating.

Speakers

The speakers will be Sean Mallon (Pacific Curator at the Te Papa Museum in New Zealand), Joe Horse Capture (associate curator at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC) and Maureen Matthews (Curator of Ethnology at The Manitoba Museum in Winnipeg). They will be in Leiden for a conference at the museum earlier that week and have graciously agreed to co-teach this class.

The Master Class will offer possibilities for students to learn and enter into conversation with curators of some of the most important museums worldwide that have ample experience with curating and indigenous curating in particular.
