Simone Vogel joined the RCMC in February 2018 as a Programming and Research Intern. She is an undergraduate student at Leiden University College, The Hague, where she pursues a Major in Human Diversity. 

She lived in various Latin American countries until the age of 18, influencing her interest on themes such colonialism, postcolonial representations, indigenous activism, traditional arts, and popular culture. She is currently writing her undergraduate thesis on the commoditization of indigenous culture in Latin America.

Her programming and research at the RCMC revolves around issues of citizenship and belonging, identity construction through popular culture, the decolonization of architecture, and the legacies of slavery and the colonial past on contemporary Dutch society.
