The RCMC invites you to the third Global Earth Matters workshop on Silver & Resource Futures.

Our year-round schedule of events tailored to academics and students includes lectures, workshops, conferences, master classes and expert meetings. These also include events organized around specific collections (Collection Study Days) and research networks (Labs).

Earth Matters in the Museum: Planetary Entanglements and Precarities is an RCMC workshop that will explore the possibilities of tracing, writing and imagining planetary histories and futures through ethnographic collections.

The symposium Declassified: How to Un/Engender the Ethnographic Object traces the (historical) construction of gender and sexuality within the collecting practices of ethnographic museums.

What should museums of ethnography collect today and for the future? This workshop will explore trajectories towards collaborative practices for collecting and documenting collections within ethnographic museums.
