In Rotterdam we have therefore created a programme to collaborate with partners that share our social engagement and with whom we feel a conceptual connection. Each of these partners has an unique relation to the city of Rotterdam and we have brought them together to become part of our Extended Family. This programme establishes a long-term commitment to collaborate. The Extended Family will start as a programme at the Wereldmuseum that will in due time be extended to the Tropenmuseum, the Afrika Museum and Museum Volkenkunde.
Our Extended Family consists of twelve different creative partners from the city of Rotterdam. They are young, individual artists that share the DNA and vision of the Wereldmuseum. The group includes many different ages, diverse cultural backgrounds and disciplines, but above all this programme unites innovative, entrepreneurial and engaged artists. Together we will create events, exhibitions, educational programs, research projects and more. Stay tuned!
